3.2" Fossil Sycamore Leaf (Platanus) - Green River Formation, Utah

This is a 3.2" fossil sycamore (Platanus) leaf from the Green River Formation, Utah. It is in very good condition and the dark leaf stands out against the lighter stone. There are two areas of infection on the center and first lobe to the right. These could be the result of insects, fungus or other pathogen.

While the Green River Formation is best know for its fish fossils, other areas produce incredible plant fossils.

Comes with an acrylic stand.
