3.6" Sphenodiscus Ammonites with Gorgeous Sutures - SD

 

This is a beautiful, 3.6" wide Sphenodiscus beecheri from the Fox Hills Formation of South Dakota. It was found inside of a hard concretion and the rock had to be meticulously prepared away. This specimen has gorgeous sutures and the rock has been cut flat at the bottom creating a very aesthetic display.
