3.7" Hildoceras bifrons Ammonite - England

This is a large 3.7" British Hildoceras bifrons ammonite from Whitby, England. These well preserved ammonites are Jurassic in age and are found in hard concretions that must be split open to reveal the fossil. This ammonite appears to have suffered possible predatory damage before the fossilization process. This comes with a clear acrylic stand.
