3" Fossil Insect (Fly and Beetle) Plate - Utah

This is a 3" wide piece of shale featuring a beautifully detailed fly (order Diptera) and beetle (order Coleoptera) fossil, in addition to a couple plant fragments. The specimen was collected from the Green River Formation of Utah. While the Green River Formation is best know for its fish fossils, other areas produce incredible fossil plant and insect fauna.

It comes with an acrylic display stand.
