4.1" Ordovician Fossil Starfish With Two Brittle Stars - Morocco

This is a well preserved, 4.1" wide fossil starfish from the Upper Ktaoua Formation of Morocco. It Upper Ordovician (Late Katian Stage) in age, but like many of the echinoderm fossils from Morocco is likely still undescribed. The detail and 3D preservation of this piece is stunning. It has been nicely prepared to bring it out in high relief against the rock.

Naturally associated with it is a pair of Ophiurid brittle star fossils.

Comes with a display stand.
