4.1" Pliocene Bivalve (Arca wagneriana) Fossil - Florida

This is a nicely preserved fossil bivalve of the species Arca wagneriana. It comes from the Tamiami Formation of Sarasota County, Florida. This formation dates to the late Miocene through Pliocene periods. The fossil has been completely removed from the surrounding rock it was found in.
