4" Cretaceous Fossil Sponge (Seliscothon) - Germany

This is a late Cretaceous (Campanian) aged fossil sponge of the species Seliscothon planum that was collected from Misburg, Germany. There are multiple species of fossil sponge that are found in this area, including S. mantelli and S. verrucosum. This sponge fossil features excellent preservation of the pores.

It comes with an acrylic display stand.
