.40" Fossil Insect (Hymenoptera?) - Bois d’Asson, France

This is a fossil insect (wasp?) collected from the Oligocene-aged deposits of Bois d'Asson, France. The dark-brown preservation contrasts nicely against rock. This is part of an old collection that we recently acquired.

It comes with an acrylic display stand.
