.45" Ordovician Chiton (Echinochiton) Plate Fossil - Wisconsin

This is a .45" wide, Middle Ordovician, chiton (Echinochiton) plate. There is only a singular plate that would have overlapped down the back of the mollusc. This specimen is part of an old collection from the Grand Detour Formation in Rock County, Wisconsin. It has been partially exposed from the rock it was found in. There are a few extra marine fossils embedded in the rock as well.

It comes with an acrylic display stand.
