5.05" Fossil Pecten In Sandstone - California

This is a fossil pecten from the Cenezoic Era, collected in Ventura County, California. It's from a dig conducted in the 1970"s, so little information is known about the specific location or age of sediment. The pecten is still attached to the sandstone in which it was found. It's quite large, measuring 5.05" wide.
