5.1" Partial Sauropod Vertebra - Morrison Formation
This is a 5.1" partial, sauropod vertebra from the Morrison Formation in Wyoming. It is a section of the body (centrum) of the vertebra and has a number of repaired cracks. It is being sold as is and would make a nice project for someone who wanted to try their hand at specimen preparation.
There are a number of sauropods known from the Morrison Formation. The most common were Camarasaurs, Diplodocids and Apatosaurs, but there are at least a dozen other genera. Based on the location it's most likely Diplodocus.
