5.3" Ordovician Brittle Star (Ophiura) With Crinoid - Morocco

This is a 5.3" wide, fossil brittle star (Ophiura) from the Kataoua Formation of Morocco. It is Ordovician in age, approximately 450 million years old. The orange coloration is natural and due to the oxidization of iron pyrite.

There is also an unidentified fossil crinoid present on the rock.

It comes with an acrylic display stand.
