5.4" Polished Fossil Sea Star Cross Section - France

This is the cross section of a sea star, collected from the Middle Jurassic (Bathonian Stage) marine deposits of Burgundy (Bourgogne), France. The fossil measures 5.4" wide and is nicely centered in a 9.1" wide, circular-cut slab of rock. The entire rock has been polished to a glossy finish. Additional fossil shell fragments can be seen throughout the front and back side of the polished rock.

Comes with an acrylic-metal display stand.
