5.5" Dinosaur Rib Bone Section - Wyoming

This is a 5.5" wide section of rib bone that was collected from the Late Cretaceous, or roughly 66 million year old Lance Creek Formation of Wyoming. It comes from the proximal end of the rib where it articulates with the vertebrae. The edges and one side of this bone are fairly weathered, revealing the bone cells within. Based on the size of this specimen, it's possible it came from a large hadrosaur or even Triceratops horridus.

It comes with an acrylic display stand.
