.6" Detailed Fossil Feather and Leaf - Green River Formation, Utah

This is a .6" long fossil feather from the Eocene aged Green River Formation of Utah. A leaf (Populus tidwellii) fossil can be seen on the opposite end of the shale and a large tattered feather can be found on the opposite side of the plate. While this formation is best known for well preserved fossil fish found in Wyoming, other sections of the formation contain a very diverse fauna.

It comes with an acrylic display stand.
