This is a nicely preserved jaw section from an extinct species of pika, Prolagus oeningensis. It came out of the geomorphological karstic site, La Grive-Saint-Alban in France. This site has helped provide an understanding of the diverse European mammalian fauna of the Miocene Epoch.

The specimen is in great condition with no repair. Comes with a display display case.
