This is a beautifully preserved .65" wide fossil Sycamore (Macginitiea) fruit from the Green River Formation, Uintah County, Utah. The preservation of this specimen is excellent. While this formation is best known for well preserved fossil fish found in Wyoming, other sections of the formation contain a very diverse flora and insect fauna.
