8.6" Southern Mammoth Molar - Ural Mountains

This is a solid, 8.6" long Southern Mammoth (Mammuthus primigenius) molar collected from a River Bank in the Southern Ural Mountains of Russia. The roots of this molar and nicely intact, thought here is a chunk out of one side of the feeding surface. This tooth is weighs over 5 lbs and is very heavily mineralized unlike the more frequently available North Sea Mammoth molars.
