.9" Fossil Willow (Salix) Leaf with Craneflies - Utah

This is a .9" long, nicely detailed fossil willow leaf (Salix cockerelli) preserved alongside cranefly (family Tipulidae) fossils. It comes from the Green River Formation in Uintah County, Utah. While this formation is best known for well-preserved fossil fish found in Wyoming, other sections of the formation contain very diverse flora and insect fauna.

Comes with an acrylic display stand.
