Beautiful 2.45" Asaphus Lesnikova Trilobite - Russia

This is a gorgeous, 2.45" long, prone Asaphus lesnikova collected in the St. Petersburg region of Russia. The caramel colored shell contrasts nicely with the white limestone matrix that it was found in. Like nearly all of the Asaphus trilobites there is some shell restoration, as the shell tends to flake during collection. In total the shell restoration is about 6-7%, mostly on the right side of the head and the pleural tips on the right hand side.
