Cute Enrolled Asaphus Kowalewskii Trilobite With Stalk Eyes

This is a cute, enrolled specimen of the long, stalk-eyed trilobite Asaphus kowalewskii. It is Middle Ordovician in age and was collected at the Vilpovitsy quarry in the St. Petersburg region of Russia. The stalk eyes likely allowed to survey it's surroundings while remaining buried in the mud.

Restoration is very minor for these Asaphid trilobites, only a tiny spot on the tip of the tail and the found of the head. 1-2% in total.
