Double Gondwanaspis Trilobite - Rare species

This is a rare trilobite that only started appearing on the market over the past few years, Gondwanaspis (also known as Taemasaspis). It's a very unique and beautifully detailed odontopleurid which is quarried near Mount Issoumour, Morocco. The "couch" from which these trilobites come from is fairly small and will likely get collected out within the next several years.

Very few collectors have an example of this unusual taxon of trilobite. The larger specimen on the plate is 1.45" in length and laid out nice and prone. The second specimen is a bit smaller with it's head tucked and there is a head of a phacops right in between them. The piece is pretty nicely prepared. There is some minor shell restoration on both trilobites, just to touchup shell damage, but nothing was added to the piece.
