Free-Standing Black Nautilus - 5.3"

This is a black polished nautilus fossil from Belmont, France. It is 5.3 inches and displays nicely on a free-standing block of matrix. These ammonites are Lower Jurassic (Toarcian Stage) and quite hard to acquire compared to the commonly available ammonites from Madagascar and Morocco. A very unique display piece, that should appeal both to the collector and to someone who just wants to appreciate the aesthetics.
