Large, 7.3" Wide Ophiura Brittle Star Fossil

This is a very large Ophiura brittle star fossils from the Kataoua Formation of Morocco. It's 7.3" wide and nicely centered an a solid slab of limestone. These Ophiura brittle stars are Ordovician in age, or approximately 450 million years. The bright orange coloration is due to the oxidization of iron pyrite. There is a repaired crack in the rock but no restoration to the specimen.
