Large Asaphus Platyurus + Asaphus Intermedius Trilobites

This is a very impressive association of two large, and uncommon Asaphus trilobites from the Vilpovitsy quarry near St. Petersburg, Russia. There is a large 3.8" long Asaphus platyurus on the same plate as a 3.3" long Asaphus intermedius. Both trilobites are very 3D and their caramel colored shell contrasts nicely with the white limestone.

Like nearly all of the trilobites from these quarries they do have some shell restoration, as it tends to flake off during collection. Both trilobites have about 15% shell restoration, spread out in small patches.
