Paleocene Fossil Leaves - Both Sides Of Rock

This is fossil leaf plate from the Fort Union Formation near Glendive, Montana. One side of this plate features a 3" long unidentified leaf, while the other displays a 2.3" long Beringiaphyllum cupanoides leaf. The orange preservation contrasts well against the shale, and many of the details in the leaves can be seen in good relief. There may be some touchups to the surface of the leaves where portions of them flaked onto the negative during collection.

This specimen includes an acrylic display stand.
