This is a .9" long, partial caudal vertebra of a dinosaur from the Hell Creek Formation of Bowman County, North Dakota. The lack of a processes and bone present makes it difficult to provide identification to an isolated vertebra such as this.

Renowned for both its age and rich sedimentary layers, the Hell Creek Formation is one of the most intensively studied fossil-bearing regions on Earth.
