.5" Fossil Mackerel Shark (Cretodus) Tooth - Kansas

This is a preserved fossil tooth of the extinct mackerel shark, Cretodus sp., collected from the Carlile Shale in North Central Kansas. It's Cretaceous in age, or approximately 93 million years old. One side of this tooth has been exposed from the rock that it was found in.

The tooth is .5" long and the rock measures 4 x 2". It comes with an acrylic display stand.
