Two Fossil Leaves (Davidia & "Zizyphus") - Montana

These are two fossil leaves collected from the Fort Union Formation of Montana. The largest leaf is Davidia antiqua and the smaller leaf is "Zizyphus" fibrillosus. The red-brown color of the leaves contrasts nicely against the rock.

There are some areas of touch-up restoration on the surface of the leaves where there was some flaking onto the negative. An acrylic display stand is included.

#5 - Davidia antiqua (1.45" long)
#42- Zizyphus fibrillosus (1.1" long)
