Two, Huge Ordovician Brittle Stars (Ophiura) - Morocco

This is a gorgeous association of two, large fossil brittle stars (Ophiura) from the Tiouririne Formation of Morocco. The plate is Ordovician in age, approximately 450 million years old. The slight orange coloration is natural and due to the oxidization of iron pyrite. This specimen is well prepped and makes an excellent addition to any collection.
