Two Partial Miocene Pea Crab (Pinnixa) Fossils - California

These are two 8 million year old fossil "pea crabs", Pinnixa galliheri from the Monterey Formation of California. Much of the carapace and legs of these fossil crabs are preserved. The orange coloration is due to iron oxide.
