Inflated, 5.2" Arctinurus Trilobite - New York

This is a large, and very inflated Arctinurus boltoni from the Rochester Shale of New York. This 5.2" long specimen was collected from the famous "Caleb Quarry" near Middleport. This is the most inflated example of the species that I've ever seen. The very bumpy exoskeleton very detailed, and this large trilobite displays very well.

Large Arctinurus are one of the most desirable North American trilobite fossils. Like basically all specimens it does have some shell restoration and repair to the matrix.
