Wonderfully Prepared 2.65" Dactylioceras In Concretion
This is a wonderfully prepared, 2.65" wide, Dactylioceras (Orthodactylites) semicelatum ammonite collected in North Yorkshire, England. It was found by spliting open a hard concretion and then the rock was meticulously removed from around the ammonite to create a beautiful presentation. These ammonites are Lower Jurassic in age or approximately 180 million years old.
