XL Fossil Shrimp Carpopenaeus - Lebanon

This is a extra large example of a fossil shrimp from the famous Cretaceous aged fossil beds near Hjoula, Lebanon. This specimen would probably be close to 4 inches if outstretched and not curled up (not including antenna)

These fossil deposits were first mentioned by the Greek historian Herodotus where he said there were "fish in the stones". It comes with an acrylic display stand.
