About Stichtite

Stichtite is a vibrant, eye-catching mineral prized for its rich purples, pinks, and lilac tones that swirl through its silky, fine-grained surface. Formed through the alteration of chromium-bearing serpentinite, it often occurs alongside green serpentine—creating the famous “Atlantisite” combination from Tasmania. Its soft, smooth texture and naturally mottled patterns make stichtite a favorite for carvings, cabochons, and display pieces, while its unusual color palette and geologic rarity give it an instantly recognizable, almost magical presence in any mineral collection.
