10.3" Polished Green-White Opal Section - Western Australia

This is a gorgeous, 10.3" wide section of common green opal. This form of opal comes from a location south of Kalgoorlie in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia. The beautiful green coloration is caused by traces of nickel and/or chromium within the mineralization. One side has been polished to a glossy finish, with the remainder left in its natural state.

This specimen stands nice on its own, but we have provided an acrylic & metal stand for stability
