2.55" Carved Leopard Stone Sphere - Mexico
This is a beautiful 2.55" wide, polished sphere carved from a kind of "jasper" known as leopard stone. The stone displays a unique spotted pattern with red, white, and black coloration. It has been flawlessly polished to a glossy finish all the way around.

Jasper is an opaque (light doesn't pass through it) variety of chalcedony colored by various impurities within the stone. Leapord skin jasper, or leopard stone, contains orbicular mineral formations that resemble the appearance of leopards skin or fur, hence where it earned its name.
