2.6" Rare Mammellonar Vanadinite - Broken Hill Mine, Zambia

This is a rare, polished specimen of vanadinite, collected from the Broken Hill Mine in Zambia. It is likely that this specimen was collected in the 60's with the rest of this formation of vanadinite, explaining why there are so few on the market. After compositional analysis, the yellow layers are a mineralization known as descloizite, with vanadinite attributing for the brown layers.
