Wavellite is a phosphate mineral with the chemical formula Al3(PO4)2(OH)3·5H2O. It is widely known for its green radial crystal formations that for many years have been referred to as "cat's-eye" by local collectors. It is often found as green crystals that can vary in color intensity, ranging from dark emerald green to pale green depending on conditions during formation.
