2" Forest-Green Libethenite Crystal Cluster - DR Congo
This beautiful, 2" wide specimen features a crystal aggregation of the rare mineral, libethenite. The crystals have forest-green coloration and bear a pseudo-octahedral structure. It comes from the Kapata Mine, in the Kolwezi mining district near Lualaba, in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Libethenite is a secondary copper phosphate mineral with the chemical formula Cu2PO4OH. The crystals are typically dark green and orthorhombic in shape and form within the oxidation zones of copper ore deposits.
