3.1" Metallic, Needle-Like Pyrolusite Crystals - Morocco

It comes with an acrylic display stand.

Pyrolusite is a mineral composed of manganese dioxide (MnO2) and is an important ore of manganese. It has a silvery metallic luster, a black or bluish-black streak, and readily soils the fingers. This mineral is commonly found in finely packed fibrous, acicular, and radial forms composed of very fine needles or fibers.

Pyrolusites from the the Imini Mine in the Drâa-Tafilalet Region of Morocco are believed to be manganites replaced by pyrolusite. Therefore, a more accurate name for these particular specimens would be pyrolusite-replaced manganites.
