3.15" Polished Snowflake Stone - Pakistan
This is a 3.15" wide polished palm stone made from a mineral deposit in Pakistan. This specific material can be found on the market labelled as "snowflake obsidian", "snowflake rhodonite", "rhodonite (snowflake)", "dendritic rhodonite", etc.. While this stone is definitely not made from obsidian, rhodonite is a good possibility. However, due to this uncertainty, we are just referring to these specimens as snowflake stone.

Snowflake stone from Pakistan is a naturally patterned limestone or marble composed primarily of dark gray to black carbonate rock scattered with white, radiating calcite or aragonite crystal clusters that resemble snowflakes. Despite its common mislabeling as “snowflake obsidian,” this material is not volcanic glass and has no relation to obsidian; instead, its patterns formed through sedimentary or low-grade metamorphic processes as minerals crystallized within the rock.
