This is a beautiful, 4.55" wide polished nodule of Patagonia agate from Argentina. It shows off beautiful pale pink and white coloration. It has been cut flat and polished to a glossy finish on one side, and the rest of the nodule is left in rough form. These Patagonia agates are know for their fluorescence, and this specimen is no exception. Under shortwave ultraviolet light, portions of this agate exhibit a white fluorescence.

Patagonia agate is a colorful variety of agate that comes out of the Chubut Province of Patagonia, Argentina. Most specimens feature pastel red, pink, orange, yellow, and white banding, but colors can vary into greens and purples in some instances. These agates come from the same administrative division (department) as the highly prized crater agates known for their characteristic red-black coloration and intense green fluorescence.
