This is a 4.9" long polished skull that was formed from picasso jasper. The jasper has been meticulously sculpted and polished into the shape of a skull. The underside of the skull and nostrils have been hollowed-out, making the specimen closer in resemblance to a real skull.

Picasso jasper is the trade name for a jasper formation that contains black lines through a white and grey jasper with faint hints of red jasper. The black lines are likely caused by iron or manganese oxidation that occurred within natural fractures in the jasper.
