5" Polished Chatoyant Black Stone Skull

This is a beautiful polished stone skull carved from dark stone of unknown species and origin. It measures 5" from front to back. The carving is detailed and well executed. The stone resembles pietersite or hypersthene, exhibiting a fibrous, chatoyant pattern that shimmers in spots across the entire specimen, even deep in the eye sockets. It is truly a mesmerizing piece.
