This is a colorful 5" wide polished rhyolite specimen which has been shaped and polished into a perfect sphere, collected from Australia. Rhyolite is a group of extrusive igneous rocks, typically consisting of large-grained crystals such as feldspar or quartz dispersed in a fine-grained silicate rich rock.

Comes with an acrylic ring display stand.
