6" Colorful Polished Condor Agate - Argentina
This is a gorgeous, 6" wide polished nodule of Condor agate from Argentina. It shows off the characteristic red, pink, blue, and yellow coloration across the polished faces, along with an amethyst filled pocket at its center. Most of the nodule has been polished to a glossy finish.
Condor agate is a highly prized gem-quality agate from the Mendoza Province of Argentina. Most specimens feature fine red, brown, and black banding, but colors can vary into blues, greens, and even whites. They are relatively new discovery, only discovered in 1993: they make a wonderful addition to any mineral collection.
