1.2" Fossil Legume (Leguminosites) Leaf - Insect Predation!

This is a 1.2" fossil leaf from Leguminosites lesquereuxiana, a type of legume. It is Eocene in age and comes from the Green River Formation in Uintah County, Utah. The leaf is nicely preserved with crisp edges and dark coloration, as well as signs of insect predation. This is the same formation that is famous for producing well preserved fish fossils, but a different member and location.
