1.62" Allosaurus Tooth In Matrix - Skull Creek, Colorado

This is a large 1.62" long tooth of Allosaurus fragilis from the Skull Creek Quarry near Dinosaur, CO. It was left partially embedded in the sandstone matrix in which it was found, so that it stands up on it's own. This is a large, Allosaurus tooth as most average around 1" in length. There area number of crack repairs, and the last 2-3mm of the tip has been restored.
