1.8" Early Cambrian Fallotaspis - Tazemmourt, Morocco
This is rare and exceptionally well preserved Fallotaspis bondoni trilobite collected from the Issafen Formation near Tazemmourt, Morocco. I've only seen a handful of examples of this species available for sale over the past couple of years. It bears a strong resemblance to Fallotaspis bondoni (Neltner & Poctey, 1950).
The specimen is 1.8" long and has been fantastically prepared to bring it out in high relief against the surrounding shale. It is located on a large, 7.4 x 5.5" piece of shale. There is the head of a second specimen also located on the shale and the piece has no restoration.
